Sydney Marovitz Golf Course, Chicago, Illinois
I created this piece in fall 2021. This was the beginning of my exploration into economics, using the lens of the golf course as a way to critique neoliberalism as a whole. I photographed the course with a very straightforward view, always staying outside of the fence containing the course. But when the fence disappears what space does that create? When you are pushed to the outside looking in, how does that make a viewer feel?
Shot on medium format film.
